Our season is now in full swing and there are a couple of updates from the recent committee meeting.
59 Club
The 59 Club is coming to the end of its first year and is projected to raise just under £900 for the Bowls Club funds. The profits were used to buy the materials for the new storage shed which is proving very useful. The remaining £350 is being used to purchase chairs for the marque.However, due to reduced numbers for the 59 Club next year, together with the fact that only a limited proportion of Bowls Club members are taking part, the committee has decided to stop the 59 Club at the end of May.
The Bowls Club would like to thank everyone who contributed to the 59 Club over the last year.
Fun Day
The 2025 Fun Day is scheduled to take place on Sunday 25th May. Unfortunately, due to a very congested bowls diary and circumstances beyond our control, the Fun Day has regrettably been cancelled for 2025.It is hoped that we will be able to run a Fun Day next season.
Peter and June Wright Trophy
The Peter and June Wright Trophy will take place on Sunday 1st June. There is a registration sheet on the Club House Noticeboard. Please ensure that you sign up before the deadline of 26th May.The entry cost is £6.50 which includes a sandwich tea.
